The Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management along with partners in the community operates the Severe Weather Shelter Program from November 1 through March 31. This program seeks to provide emergency shelter to those who need to get in out of the hazardous weather conditions and have no place to go.
Severe Weather Shelter volunteers can volunteer for any location on any night that the shelter program is activated. Locations may change from year to year so contact KCDEM for the most recent locations. Volunteers must complete the Severe Weather Shelter Volunteer Training and be registered with KCDEM.
